Dr.YV Reddy


Padma Vibhushan Dr. YV Reddy Sir served as governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) (India's central bank) and the Chairman of the Fourteenth Finance Commission of India. He has been active in academia, and was associated with University of Hyderabad, IIT Madras, and Columbia University, New York. He served as a member of the United Nation’s Commission of Experts on Reforms of the International Monetary and Financial System.He was made an Honorary Fellow of the London School of Economics. Earlier, he was awarded Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) by Sri Venkateswara University, India; and Doctor of Civil Law (Honoris Causa) by the University of Mauritius.He joined Indian Administrative Service in 1964. He served in Governments of Andhra Pradesh, Government of India and World Bank, and rose to the position of Secretary (Banking) in Ministry of Finance. He moved to Reserve Bank of India as Deputy Governor, and then to International Monetary Fund in 2002 as Executive Director on the Board. Currently, he is an Honorary Professor, Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS), Hyderabad, India

Well-known Hindi playwright and author of who has received many literary awards for his books 'Angrez Kothi', Banspur ki Uttarkatha', and 'Gandhi Jivan our Vichar', a biography of Mahatma Gandhi. His two plays are 'Kasturba' and 'Gandhi ki Chargesheet'. Doordarshan made two telefilms on his two humorous short stories. He is presently Director-General in the Department of Indian Revenue Service for the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha. He actively participates in rural development on Gandhian principles.

Ms G Chandana Deepti is currently serving as SP of Medak District. She is an alumnus of IIT Delhi with a bachelors degree in Computer Science. She joined IPS through UPSC Civil Services Examination in the year 2012. In an interaction session with students, she shared her experiences as a police officer in various capacities, career transformation from engineering to civil services, day-to-day responsibilities and challenges in the current role. She also motivated and encouraged students by answering UPSC CS exam related questions.

Dr. GV Ramanjaneyulu (Ramoo) is Executive Director of Centre for Sustainable Agriculture (CAS), Hyderabad. He earned his PhD degree in Agriculture from IARI, New Delhi in 1996 and later worked as Scientist in Indian Council of Agricultural Research. His lecture included details of current agricultural practices, organic farming, policy research and environmental impact.



Mr. K.K.Senthil Kumar, the man behind the lens of the National Award winning films like Bahubali & Eega and many more.He shared his experiences of how he stepped towards the movies and cinematography .He described his journey from his first movie to the national award winning film ‘BAHUBALI’ and also shared his main motivation to select photography as his field of work.



Mr. Sumit Kumar Gandhi, IAS, one of the youngest civil servants who aspired for CSE(Civil Service Examination) after working in IT sector for 4 years and he cleared the examination with an impressive rank of AIR 81 in CSE(Civil Services Examination) .He aspires to contribute to the field of primary education for the underprivileged children.Mr. Sumit Kumar Gandhi, IAS has driven them more towards their aim to become a Civil Servant. The speaker addressed about how one should prepare from the #Day1 to crack CSE.



Mr.Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam is an Indian film playback singer, actor, music director, voice actor and film producer. He has won the Guinness World Record for recording the highest number of songs.He has won many awards National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer, Nandi Award, National Film Awards across four languages as well as a Filmfare Award, five South Filmfare Awards and numerous state awards from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. He is a recipient of civilian awards such as Padmashri (2001) and Padma Bhushan (2011) from the government of India.



Ananda Shankar Jayant is an Indian classical dancer, choreographer, scholar and bureaucrat, known for her proficiency in the classical dance forms of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. She is the first woman officer in the Indian Railway Traffic Service and her 2009 TED talk is ranked among the top twelve Incredible TED talks on cancer. She is a recipient of Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, Kalaimamani Award of the Government of Tamil Nadu and Kala Ratna Award of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2007, for her contributions to arts.

Amala Akkineni is a former Indian film actress, Bharata Natyam dancer, and an animal welfare activist.She is best known for her works in Tamil cinema, and Telugu cinema. She has also starred in few Malayalam, Kannada, and Bollywood films. She has won two Filmfare Awards South, and a CineMAA Award.Amala is the co-founder of The Blue Cross of Hyderabad , a non-government organisation (NGO) in Hyderabad, India, which works towards the welfare of animals and preservation of animal rights in India.

Her non fiction and journalism focus on issues of women and gender in India.Ira is the founder of Namami Yoga, a charity and not for profit foundation that brings yoga to the underprivileged children. The Foundation conducts yoga classes for underprivileged children in New Delhi.



Shashi Tharoor is an Indian politician and a former diplomat who is currently serving as Member of Parliament of India (from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala since 2009).
